About:

The Holy Empire of Britannia conquered the country previously known as “Japan.” They were forbidden to use that name, and is now called “Area 11.”

The people who live in “Area 11” are known as “Elevens.” The governing ruler is from the Britannia Empire, and reigns in the name of the Emperor of Britannia. The people of Japan were stripped of their rights to self-govern, and their pride—stolen.

The empire has been using their military power to conquer various countries as “areas.” Their strength is based on robotic weapons called “Knightmares.”  The power these  “Knightmares” exhibit during war is devastating, and it is what supports the world domination of the empire.

It seems that no one could stop the great power of the empire.
But someone is about to stand up against it.

Lelouch, the “black prince,” has fiery ambition in his heart and will stop at nothing to achieve his goal. He obtains the power of the “Geass” and decides to use that power for the sake of his sister Nunnally and to build a world based on his ideals.

Suzaku Kururugi, the “white knight,” aspires for justice and strives to live an honest and fair life. Suzaku is assigned to pilot the Knightmare Frame “Lancelot” and tries to achieve his ideals while overcoming the hurdles of reality.

The paths these two take will change the relationship of the Britannia Empire and “Elevens.”

The events in Area 11 are about to cause a stir.

Characters:

(ASHFORD PRIVATE ACADEMY)

•Lelouch Lamperouge
A normal student who attends the Ashford Private Academy in Area 11. He is one of the members of the student council. He has a sharp mind and is brilliant in games such as chess.

•Milly Ashford
Lelouch’s senior and the president of the Ashford Academy student council. She likes to play tricks and cause the student council members trouble, but is really a reliable “older sister” to everyone. Her grandfather is the chairman of the Ashford Academy.

•Shirley Fenette
One of the members of the student council at Ashford Academy. She is also on the swim team. She shows concern for Lelouch.

•Rivalz Cardemonde
Lelouch’s school friend. He often takes Lelouch out riding in his motorcycle’s sidecar.

•Nina Einstein
A member of the Ashford Academy student council. She is quiet and loves scientific research.

(BRITANNIA EMPIRE)

•Suzaku Kururugi
Although he is an Eleven, he is part of the Britannian Forces as an honorary Britannian. His skills as a soldier are first-class, but his pure intentions and tendency to believe in the goodwill of others does create a burden for him at times. Unlike Lelouch who is trying to crush the Britannia Empire, he strives to restructure the system from the inside.

•The Emperor of Britannia
The Emperor of Britannia Empire. He assigns his heirs to govern the different Areas of the world.

•Jeremiah Gottwald
A young officer and one of the “purists” who believe that the Britannian Forces should only consist of Britannians. He pilots the Knightmare Frame, Glasgow.

•Clovis La Britannia
The third prince of the Britannia Empire and the governor of Area 11.

•Gilbert G.P. Guilford
The captain of Cornelia’s closest subordinates. He is loyal and follows Cornelia’s orders coolly and accurately. His distinctive characteristic is his glasses.

•Andreas Darlton
The right-hand man of Cornelia and also her master of military tactics. You can tell from the scar on his face that he is an experienced soldier. He took part in the war that conquered Japan.

•Villetta Nu
A purist soldier. She pilots the Knightmare Frame, Sutherland.

•Lloyd Asplund
The developer of the Knightmare Frame, Lancelot.

•Cecile Croomy
One of the members of the developing team of Lancelot.

•Diethard Ried
A producer of a TV station. He is the type to investigate fully if he shows interest in a case.

(THE RESISTANCE)

•Kaname Ohgi
The leader of the small resistance group Kallen is in. He was a friend of Kallen’s late brother.

•Kallen Stadtfeld
A girl who is part of an illegal rebellion movement against the Britannia Empire. She is very feisty; she can operate a Knightmare Frame and has knowledge in martial arts as well. However, she pretends to be sickly at Ashford Academy.

A mysterious girl Lelouch meets. She looks like she’s a teenager, but everything about her is unknown.
