It’s been a while since I last reviewed another blogger’s page. This time I am going to review on a Filipina’s blog: Just The Tip of The Iceberg…

The author of the said blog is a fine woman of great dignity, she is none other than Eleanor "Darling" Mordeno Aguilar. She decribe her blog as "the blog of my existence…" which really is true since every blog existing in the world wide web proves that authors like us exist, right?

The blog showcases a lot of random but valuable informations ranging from her thoughts and opinions to the facts of life.

Regarding  the ambiance and appearance of her blog, I find it simple and very pleasing to the eyes with it’s main colors as black, white and gray which are just the right combination for a typical blog. Last January 12, 2009, we started our duty as student nurses in the delivery room (DR)

Our shift was from 3pm-11pm. Since we are assigned in San Pedro Hospital, a private hospital, we only had two patients who are about to deliver. I really don’t like our rotation this time because what we only did the whole day was chat with our group mates inside the DR’s conference room. This is because we were just waiting for the babies to come out from their mother’s wombs. When our shift was almost over, sadly, a cesarian operation was done on one of the patients. We only get to see the operation because we are not allowed to assist during a cesarian operation. But it’s okay for me because I got to see the real thing with my own eyes.

On the second day, a baby was born through Normal Spontaneous Vaginal Delivery (NSVD) during our shift. I didn’t saw the actual coming out of the baby because I can only see the doctor’s back the whole time. But what I really witnessed and struck me the most is this expression the mother is making who was striving hard so that the baby can go out. I can really tell how painful it is to deliver a child just by looking at her face.

That is why it was very wrong for me to disobey and hurt my mother’s feelings because now I have realized that she had undergone a lot of hardships just to let me savor this beautiful life on earth.
